Autumn Programme at Kesgrave Baptist Church
September-December 2008
Sunday Mornings:
Being one body in Christ is our calling as a church, yet how much
do we work at growing our fellowship together? Paul's letter to
Philemon will challenge us to think about how to overcome barriers
of class, race or Slavery. Then from October to Christmas we will be
blowing the dust off the book of Micah, which has a great deal to
say to us about wickedness in our generation, as well as containing
rich promises of the coming of Jesus as we approach Christmas.

Sunday Evenings
ON Sunday evenings we will be working through the final chapters
of the book of Daniel, which continues to enthral us with its
apocalyptic visions predicting both the first and second comings of
Jesus. Then as we head towards Christmas, we set out on a journey
through the gospel of John. God willing, we will go right through
John over several years, a chapter or two in each series, taking a
break between series, so that we set a manageable pace across this
rich gospel of glory, light and life.

Midweek
One of our burdens as a church at present is to pray more
together. We do this in our fellowship groups in homes, but also in
our central prayer meeting. Sometimes this will include a
Bible study, while at other times the focus will be more on prayer
as we seek God's power to work among us. If you haven't come to any
of our midweek programme before, this September is a great time to
start.
